Job Summary
Job Title: CNC Programmer / Operator
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator to support precision manufacturing operations. This role involves programming setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts while meeting safety quality and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
Program CNC Mills and/or Lathes from blueprints and 3D models
Perform full machine setups including tooling fixturing and offsets
Operate CNC equipment to manufacture parts to required specifications
Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and work instructions
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (calipers micrometers gauges)
Troubleshoot machining issues and make program adjustments as needed
Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean organized work area
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet production deadlines
Qualifications & Requirements
Siemens controller on a 50 Fryer VTL
Proven experience as a CNC Programmer and/or Operator
Ability to program directly from prints or 3D models (CAM experience preferred)
Experience with CNC Mills and/or Lathes (HAAS preferred)
Strong understanding of G-code and machining processes
Knowledge of tooling fixturing and material properties
High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CAM software such as GibbsCam Mastercam or similar
Experience machining tight-tolerance and complex parts
Previous experience in a production or job shop environment
Shift Schedule
Day Shift: 6:00 AM 3:30 PM
Overtime as needed
