Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort are looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team on a casual basis.
This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen assisting with the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes and helping deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of dishes across all sections of the kitchen.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth operations.
- Maintain cleanliness organisation and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Take initiative to develop culinary skills and grow within a professional kitchen environment.
- Support less experienced team members when required.
Shift Details (subject to change):
- Rotating roster across Monday through to Sunday
- Split shifts may be required on some days
Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):
Monday - Friday: $35.15 per hour
Saturday: $42.18 per hour
Sunday: $49.21 per hour
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant Certificate III in Cookery and previous experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Modern Australian Cuisine.
- Understanding of HACCP and Workplace Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
- Flexibility to work across a range of shifts including weekends.
- Ability to coach and motivate less experienced kitchen team members.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
