Demi Chef

Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort are looking for a skilled and motivated Demi Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen assisting with food preparation cooking and presentation while helping deliver a high-quality dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
• Assist in the development and plating of high-quality meals.
• Maintain cleanliness organisation and compliance with food safety hygiene and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth operations.
• Support and mentor junior kitchen staff where required.
• Contribute to menu planning recipe development and kitchen efficiency improvements.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts may include breakfast lunch and dinner services
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $29.88 per hour
Saturday: $37.35 per hour
Sunday: $44.82 per hour

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience as a Demi Chef or in a similar kitchen role.
• Relevant Australian cookery qualifications ideally Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques food preparation and presentation standards.
• Understanding of HACCP OH&S and kitchen hygiene requirements.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts including weekends and public holidays.
