ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Group and Events Sales Coordinator you will play a central role in coordinating our social and corporate clients experience with us. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented a skilled multitasker and a confident communicator.

As Group and Events Sales Coordinator key aspects of your role will include (but are not limited to):

• Reactively receives handles and coordinates all group and event inquiries through telephone calls or email.
• Prepares and maintains group and event documentation such as proposals contracts banquet event orders rooming lists room blocks inventory and group resumes ensuring everything is kept accurate and up-to-date.
• Identifies operational challenges associated with the group/event booking and works with the sales team and operational departments to solve challenges or develop alternative solutions.
• Coordinates communicates and confirms event details and group requirements both verbally and in writing to the client and property operations.
• Participates in property site inspections.
• Weekly check on outstanding deposits due for upcoming group and events.
• Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations.
• Handle BDRC request shop calls and emails to achieve or exceed targeted goals.
• Awarding Marriott Bonvoy Events points for actualized and qualified groups and events.

Our ideal Group and Events Sales Coordinator is someone who has:

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal English
• Confidence using multiple computer systems to store maintain and extract information (previous experience with OPERA Sales & Catering and SFA is preferred)
• Multi-tasking skills

• The ability to work to strict deadlines
• Mediation skills
• A keen eye for detail
• A positive mindset and calm demeanour
