The Opportunity
The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) is recruiting a Summer Student to assist our talentedFinance team. As a StudentFinance you willgain valuable hands-on experience in various financial processes including data analysis reporting and budgeting. You will also have the chance to work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems learning how they integrate and streamline financial operations within the organization.This is an ideal opportunity for a studentseeking to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting while developing skills essential to a successful career in finance and technology.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Generate reportsassistwith basic analysis and update process documentation as workflows evolve.
Develop and refine training materials provide user support andcontributeto continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate inteammeetings provide updates on assigned tasks andassistin tracking milestones and deliverables toensuretimelycompletion.
Whatwerelooking for in you:
Currently enrolled inaBachelors degree program in Finance Accounting Business or a related field.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint)is preferred.
Strong analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Additional Information:
Proof of enrollment in a registeredpost-secondaryinstitution including enrollment in the semester following the work term or enrollment in a registered co-op programwill be a condition of hire.
