As a crucial part of the business FinDreams Battery was 100% funded by BYD to provide battery energy solutions to our broader range of clients. We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Manager based in Sydney or Melbourne to grow our sales network in Australia.

About the Role

As a Sales Manager you will play a key role in supporting BYDs Energy Storage and New Battery Division. You will be responsible for driving business growth in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sector by developing sales strategies managing client relationships and ensuring project delivery aligns with technical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the BESS business with utilities industrial clients and renewable energy developers.

  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead qualification to solution design proposal preparation and deal closure.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the renewable energy sector including utility companies grid operators and regulatory bodies.

  • Ensure BESS installations meet local and international grid compliance standards.

  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and transmission operators for seamless BESS integration into the power grid.

  • Stay informed on changes in grid codes transmission line requirements and energy storage regulations.

  • Work closely with engineering operations and R&D teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Energy Systems Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in renewable energy technical support sales or project management with a focus on BESS PCS or EMS.

  • Strong understanding of energy storage systems and grid compliance requirements (IEC IEEE standards).

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and grid codes for integrating energy storage systems.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and project site visits.
