Sports FCS 7th Grade Boys Basketball Coach

Areas of Responsibility:

• Teach fundamental basketball skills and strategies.
• Run effective daily practices.
• Coach all basketball games.
• Cooperates and collaborates with other basketball coaching staff to establish and implement the shared program philosophy skills and techniques to be taught.
• Cooperates and communicates respectfully to parents.
• Supervise bus trips and locker room as well as behavior at away and home games.
• Maintain sportsmanship and respect to other teams coaches bus drivers and community members.
• Coaches must keep an accurate record of equipment and uniform inventory.
• Follows district policies and procedures.
• Understands and follows rules and regulations set forth by all governingagencies: state association school district and league.
• Participates in training and other activities deemed mandatory by the district to improve coaching performance and enhance student health and safety.
• Attends athletic department meetings when required.

Qualifications Required:

• Basketball coaching experience preferred
• Experience in K-12 setting preferred
• Current First Aid Certification or the ability to get certified
• Concussion Certification
• Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously as a team member
• Ability to plan organize and work withoutclose supervision
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with District staffand the public
• Ability to respect confidential information
