The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is looking to hire a detail-oriented and mission-driven Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) Analyst to support statewide traffic safety initiatives.
In this role you will serve as a subject-matter specialist for the Fatality Analysis Reporting System playing a vital part in how Virginia collects analyzes and reports fatal crash data. You will manage complex data responsibilities including gathering validating coding analyzing and maintaining fatal crash information in strict accordance with guidelines established by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
As a FARS Analyst you will collaborate with federal and state partners internal leadership safety organizations and FARS analysts in other states. You will respond to both written and verbal data requests translate complex crash data into clear and meaningful reports and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of information used to improve roadway safety across the Commonwealth.
