POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Position: Adult Ed Evening Supervisor

Non-Exempt Support Part-Time 12-month Staff

Starting Date: March 1 2026

Reports to: Adult Ed Director

Schedule: General work schedule of 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday unless the assignment requires additional time for completion.

Pay: $30762 per year. Health dental vision paid life insurance and teachers retirement paid; flexible benefits plan; sick leave vacation and paid holidays. Health insurance allowance. The total minimum compensation package is approximately $45762 minimum annually.

Primary

Function: The Adult Ed Evening Supervisor primarily oversees and manages the operations of adult education programs during evening hours. Their role is crucial in ensuring that these programs run smoothly and effectively providing quality education and training to adult learners.

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel email applications and other computer applications is preferred. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status. Experience and proficiency in record keeping prioritizing and scheduling; ability to exercise initiative independent judgment and discretion in performing duties; know the importance of confidentiality. Experience working with the public.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Non-Exempt Support Part-time 12-month Staff

TITLE: ADULT ED EVENING SUPERVISOR

Hours:

As determined by the Supervisor with a 30-minute lunch. The supervisor retains the right to adjust the work schedule and job description/duties based on the needs of the district.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Comply with all state and federal laws policies and procedures of the school district.
  2. Take the initiative to see that problems are handled positively and professionally. For any problems in which a solution is questionable a phone call to the Adult Education Director is in order.
  3. Unlock just before the beginning of class all doors to shops classrooms tool rooms and offices as needed for classes to be held on a specific evening.
  4. Be sure instructors have arrived before the start of class. If the instructor has not arrived attempt to locate the instructor to verify he/she will arrive soon. Notify students that the instructor is late if necessary.
  5. Be sure that instructors and guests utilizing our facility have the necessary special equipment for classroom instruction as needed. (Multimedia equipment markers projector etc.)
  6. Assist students and guests to appropriate rooms as needed.
  7. Be available to assist the Evening Administrative Assistant during peak times of enrollment and process enrollments if
  8. Be available to answer the phone as needed.
  9. Provide continuous monitoring of all facilities and classes during the evening hours.
  10. Assist the Evening Administrative Assistant in publishing the monthly schedule for facility usage.
  11. Assist in gathering information for the publication of class brochures/schedules from Evening Instructors. Work with Adult Ed. Director in proofing the information before publication.
  12. Assist the Evening Administrative Assistant in making sure all beginning classes receive the student information guides and rules and regulations of Northeast Tech.
  13. Assist in collecting adjunct paperwork such as contracts timesheets and any other additional information.
  14. Notify the Maintenance Supervisor of any problems (lights out doors that wont lock etc).
  15. Assist the Adult Ed Director in finding adjunct instructors for current and new classes.
  16. Make sure all classroom doors and outer doors to buildings are locked and secure.
  17. Ensure all students have exited the campus before locking the main gate.
  18. Lock the main gate/s after all classes are over at 10:00 p.m.
  19. Check the schedule to ensure proper set-up for scheduled events. Work with maintenance personnel to provide proper set-up.
  20. Regular attendance following a designated work schedule. Must be able to work scheduled and extended hours and additional days/evenings as required by position responsibilities.
  21. Any other responsibilities or duties assigned by the Supervisor and/or Superintendent.

Education Experience and Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel email applications and other computer applications is preferred.
  3. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
  4. Experience and proficiency in record keeping prioritizing and scheduling; ability to exercise initiative independent judgment and discretion in the performance of duties; know the importance of confidentiality.
  5. Experience working with the public.
  6. Evidence of skills to fulfill the positions responsibilities is important.
  7. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
  8. Cannot be related to currently seated district school board members within the second degree of affinity or consanguinity.

Job Knowledge Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  1. Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously with associated deadlines.
  2. Must have excellent communication and human relations skills especially with business professionals and adult students.
  3. Must have proficiency in record keeping prioritizing and scheduling; ability to exercise initiative independent judgment and discretion in the performance of duties; know the importance of confidentiality.
  4. Must have strong leadership and communication skills.
  5. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words rules of composition and grammar.
  6. Must be capable of being calm and professional with numerous different personalities at various levels.
  7. Must be able to effectively handle multiple simultaneous and changing priorities.

Training and Meeting Requirements:

  1. View or attend required Safety Training either by video or in person quarterly.
  2. Attends professional development training opportunities as required by district policy.
  3. Attends meetings and provides information to the Administration or Board of Education as requested.

Work Environment:

  1. Operates in a professional office environment and/or classroom.
  2. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.
  3. Must have a valid Oklahoma Drivers license and ability to drive to client meetings and training using a school

Physical Mental Demands and Dependability:

  1. Light physical effort is required for example: loading paper in a copier and answering and returning phone calls.
  2. Must be able to: care for oneself see hear walk stand lift bend reach climb stoop squat speak breathe learn read concentrate think and perform work by doing manual tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.

Reports to: Adult Ed Director

Terms of Employment:

At-will for the first year of employment. After the first year employment is considered annually in accordance with Oklahoma law.

Annual Evaluation:

The performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with Oklahoma law and the provisions of the boards policy on evaluations.
