Job Summary:

Are you passionate about building digital solutions that combine advanced analytics and generative AI to deliver transformational outcomes for Caterpillar customers We have a fantastic opportunity for an impact-focused leader with strong technical and organizational influence to lead two Cat Foresight engineering teams as part of the Cat Digital Application Engineering organization.

Youll partner across Product Analytics Platform and Operations to deliver capabilities that power Recommendations and Condition Monitoring helping customers maximize uptime.

What youll do

• Own delivery: Guide two teams to ship secure highquality features on time. Apply traditional analytics and GenAI where they measurably improve user outcomes.

• Empower and develop teams: Oversee performance of individual team members and the team. Identify and address staff training and development needs. Foster a culture of ownership innovation and continuous growth. Attract mentor and retain individual team members.

• Provide technical support and direction: Coordinate walkthroughs and reviews ensuring conformance to standards and adherence to design specifications.

• Develop leaders: Coach tech leads. Build an inclusive highperformance culture across dispersed U.S. and global teams.

• Cross-functional influence: Balance technical capabilities with business priorities in partnership with Product Analytics Platform and Operations.

• Communicate with clarity: Develop detailed work plans schedules project estimates resource plans and status reports. Share progress risks and opportunities with senior leadership and stakeholders.

What You Will Have:

Organizational Leadership: Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting embracing and achieving objectives.
Software Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.
Software Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.
Software Integration Engineering: Knowledge of software integration processes and functions; ability to design develop and maintain interfaces and linkage to alternative platforms and software packages.
Software Product Design/Architecture: Knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements into the software product design.
Software Quality Assurance and Testing: Knowledge of software quality assurance and testing; ability to apply appropriate processes tools and techniques for assuring a high level of quality in computer software products and systems.
IT Service Management (ITSM): Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) service; ability to manage IT services and oversee service operations.

Considerations For Top Candidates:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in computer science or engineering or related field Or equivalent working experience

• Experience in Software Engineering with proven experience delivering and maintaining performant and complex enterprise scale applications in languages including but not limited to Java Typescript Javascript or Python

• Experience designing building scaling and maintaining cloud systems

• Experience in testing production system monitoring and observability
