The Accounting Manager is an experienced and detail-oriented finance professional responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of a growing multi-entity organization. As a key member of the finance team this role partners closely with the Controller and senior leadership to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting strong internal controls and compliance with applicable regulations.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of technical accounting expertise and operational awareness with the ability to contribute strategically while also remaining hands-on. This individual thrives in a fast-paced growth-oriented environment and is comfortable working cross-functionally to improve processes and financial visibility across the organization.
Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and applicable reporting standards.
Assist in developing weekly and monthly management reporting packages.
Support senior finance leadership with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
Coordinate with external tax advisors to support timely and accurate corporate tax filings.
Assist in preparation and review of indirect tax filings (sales/use and other applicable transactional taxes).
Monitor compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions as applicable.
Support the development and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure policy compliance.
Participate in the monthly close process ensuring timely reconciliation and support of general ledger accounts.
Assist in coordinating internal and external audits including documentation preparation and issue resolution.
Partner with finance leadership in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Collaborate with department leaders to align financial plans with operational goals.
Monitor and analyze AR metrics (e.g. DSO aging collections trends cash forecasting).
Identify opportunities to improve working capital performance and collection processes.
Review and analyze AP metrics (e.g. DPO aging payment timing discount utilization).
Support cash flow planning and vendor management initiatives.
Identify and implement process enhancements to improve reporting accuracy efficiency and scalability.
Support systems optimization and automation initiatives within the accounting function.
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required.
CPA designation preferred.
4 years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance requirements.
Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location environment preferred.
Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
