Responsibilities
The school seeks candidates to teach courses in the humanities as well as first-year writing. These courses will largely serve the general education curriculum for students in the College of Arts and Sciences College of Business and College of Health Professions. We are especially interested in candidates with training and/or experience teaching first-year writing as an introduction to academic discourse. The ability to teach one or more humanities courses that contribute to the Gender Women and Sexuality Studies minor is a strong plus. The expected teaching load is 12 credits (4 courses) per semester including 2 sections of first-year writing. The successful candidate will also be invited to participate in academic advising recruiting course and program assessment and service to the school college and university.
Qualifications
A masters degree in a humanities discipline (Art History History Philosophy Religion or a closely related field) is required. Undergraduate teaching experience is also required. Candidates with a Ph.D. and demonstrated record of scholarly or creative work are preferred.
