Job Summary

Lead the research design and development of new engineering products systems and processes.
Conduct feasibility studies material selection analyses and performance testing for prototypes.
Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specifications test reports and innovation logs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of R&D outputs into production and manufacturing workflows.
Utilize simulation tools and CAD software to model analyze and optimize engineering designs.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies industry trends and regulatory standards to inform innovation strategies.
Manage and document experimental data ensuring compliance with internal quality and safety protocols.
Present findings progress reports and project updates to senior engineering and management teams.
Support intellectual property development through patent documentation and innovation disclosures.
Troubleshoot technical challenges during prototype and pilot production phases.

Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Electrical Chemical or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
25 years of hands-on experience in research and development within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD CATIA) and simulation software (e.g. ANSYS MATLAB).
Strong understanding of materials science manufacturing processes and product lifecycle management.
Demonstrated experience in prototyping testing and validating engineering designs.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
Familiarity with ISO standards quality management systems and regulatory compliance in engineering
