Senior Hardware Design Engineer

We are currently seeking a qualified Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our team.
Location: Ottawa ON
Work Arrangement: On-site

Responsibilities
- Engineer Design Develop and Test new embedded hardware at the forefront of technology
- Support and enhance existing embedded hardware
- Apply established development processes and assist in process improvement
- Analyze requirements research and identify solutions and develop the design
- Generate complete and accurate user and design documentation
- Provide input to architecture and design reviews
- Provide input and evaluation of new technologies and products
- Keep current with embedded hardware trends and share knowledge
- Contribute to the release of manufacturing technical data packages for products
- Participate in maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere within the team
Qualification:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Computer or equivalent
- Strong experience in hardware Board level development and hands on lab experience
- Experience/familiarity in the following is an asset:
- Experience working with a multi-disciplined team
- Familiar with a product development process
- Familiar with hardware test equipment -- logic analyzers oscilloscopes etc.
- Familiarity with principles of high-speed digital circuit board design including signal integrity concepts.
- Design capture tools (preferably Mentor Graphics)
- Requirements capture analysis and tracking.
- Hobby projects with Raspberry Pi and/or Arduino
- Familiarity with FPGAs
