Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives: Equality and Inclusion Student workers in the Office of Accessibility Services ( OAS ) will provide assistance to students with various needs. Student workers must show equality and inclusiveness to all students faculty and staff. Professionalism Student workers must adhere to the confidentiality requirements applicable to OAS office standards. The OAS is seeking a student assistant that will be available to read exams to Gannon University students that are registered with the office and that require an academic accommodation. Students will be asked to demonstrate patience and understanding at all times especially while reading exams. Additionally students will work alongside various departments in our office suite. Students must be passionate about providing a welcoming environment for students faculty and staff in a way that encourages community. Students will be expected to assist with front desk duties which include greeting guests answering phone calls and scheduling student appointments for 3-5 different departments within the Student Success Center on an as-needed basis.
Physical Demands
Students should be able to walk across campus during all months of the year including inclement weather.
Required Qualifications
Qualified students should have familiarity with medical terminology and a demonstrated commitment to academic success. Proficiency in working in an office environment; including but not limited to professional communication and interacting with Gannon University professors staff and community members.
