Hotel Arts is currently seeking a dedicated Catering & Event Services Manager. This pivotal role involves selling and overseeing all catering food beverage and room rental revenues within a specific market at our hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solicit and generate new business opportunities
- Collaborate with event planners to coordinate catering needs
- Manage all aspects of catering with a primary focus on food & beverage including setup details agendas and event logistics to ensure client objectives are met
- Negotiate with clients on menu planning beverage requirements and other event specifics
- Confirm event details with clients and prepare necessary documentation such as Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and group resumes
- Enforce Catering Agreements according to hotel policies
- Coordinate with outside vendors as needed
- Maintain pricing integrity and propose upscale menus for groups
- Work closely with various hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution
- Conduct post-event follow-up with clients
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proficiency in hotel sales platforms like Opera
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships across departments
- 1-2 years of experience in hotel catering events meetings or conference roles
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
- Comprehensive understanding of event setups space functionalities and operations
This is a full-time position for maternity leave coverage with a competitive salary and eligibility for bonuses upon achieving sales targets.
