The Opportunity
The Department of Computer Science at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applicants for multiple 9-month full-time non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer positions with an anticipated start date of August 2026. The selected candidates will teach Computer Science and Information Technology courses. This will be a full-time academic load which consists of 7 courses per academic year. The courses may include various topics in our undergraduate Computer Science and Information Technology programs. We are especially interested in applicants capable of teaching in some of the following areas: cybersecurity networking operating systems secure distributed and cloud computing digital forensics computer organization and architecture computer science theory algorithms and programming at all levels. Other responsibilities include holding office hours conducting required academic performance assessments and development of instructional content for course enhancement.A supplemental summer appointment may be offered.
Minimum Qualifications:
An earned masters degree (for instructor) or doctorate (for lecturer) in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution by the start of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
College-level teaching experience in the areas described above is highly preferred for all ranks.
