Motor Vehicle Title Specialist

WHAT WE DO: LoanMart provides fast professional assistance to financially stressed or credit-challenged borrowers. Our place in the community was built over twenty-five years growing from a family-owned single storefront in Van Nuys into the largest auto title lender in California.

ABOUT THE POSITION- The Title Department ensures that LoanMart is properly listed and released as a lienholder on vehicle title records when customers request an Auto Title Loan.

JOB DUTIES- Achieve monthly title acquisition goals both as an individual and as a team to reduce title delinquencies:

• Follow up with customers and third parties to update and obtain as much information regarding title lien statuses
• Resolve title-related requests/inquiries/discrepancies for customers other department members finance companies and/or the Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Consult with the Legal Department to identify possible recovery or lien reinstatement opportunities on accounts lacking the proper lien status.
• Provide detailed documentation of account and/or lien activity utilizing reports and internal systems.
• Mail documents to customers and third parties.
• Assist with additional duties as needed
• May require driving to local Department of Motor Vehicles to process lien/title requests pay fees or pick up or deliver documents to the DMV.

• Ability to communicate clearly concisely and professionally (both verbally and in writing)
• Proven ability to produce accurate error-free administrative work
• Consistent record of precision and reliability in administrative tasks
• Strong written communication skills for formal and technical audiences
• Weekends and overtime as needed to meet monthly performance goals
• Must have at least one year of sales telemarketing or call center experience.
• Valid driver license reliable personal vehicle and valid vehicle insurance
• Previous experience with California DMV Lien implementation/release process is highly desirable.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.

• This is a full-time onsite position. Position start time will rotate between 7 a.m. 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on a weekly basis.
