Summary:
A staff nurse is a licensed health professional who receives a specific orientation for working in
a school district health office under the direction of a Certified School Nurse.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid RN or LPN license from the state of Pennsylvania.
- One (1) year experience in pediatrics emergency room or community health preferred.
- Must have valid CPR certification.
REQUIRED PAPERWORK:In order to begin employment in any PA public school all employees are required to complete mandatory paperwork. Background employment clearances must be completed within the last year to be valid and include:
Some additional paperwork includes Arrest/Conviction Report form PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168) physicians health form and recently completed TB test.
