Job Summary

A Payroll Specialist typically has a wide range of responsibilities which can include:

  • Ensure that all payroll data entry of new hires terminations rate changes and employee classifications are correct for each employee in Deltek and UKG
  • Review employee wage records to ensure that they are accurate and up to date
  • Prepare payroll for 3 small Campos Companies
  • Validate new hire employee records in Deltek and UKG
  • Data validation changes process employee referral bonus and PTO payouts
  • Prepare reports regarding payroll activities processing payroll deductions and updating employee records
  • Communicate with employees regarding their pay including issues with direct deposit or payment methods
  • Import and export timecard data
  • Follow-up on missing timecards for active employees
  • Back-up/support Payroll Manager
  • Marking employee expenses paid in Deltek
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations as needed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree preferred but not required.
  • 5 years of relevant payroll experience is preferred
  • Experience with full payroll process reconciliation

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
