Job Summary

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide leadership and manage a classroom team of paraprofessionals and therapistsAbility to work as a productive member of an instructional team to maximize student outcomesDevelop units of instruction that are aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core and Project Discovery reports develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) maintain and develop Behavior Intervention Plans as well as data collection employing research-based best practice strategies to demonstrate student progress and adjust student goalsWork with expert consultants to identify and/or develop effective support systems for students and familiesDevelop positive relationships with familiesDevelop positive relationships with internal and external community membersParticipation in a mentor program Ability to mentor and coach professional and paraprofessional staff Ability to recognize the need for and to provide assistance to students in an appropriately active classroom settingResponsibility to stay up to date with current educational practicesOther student-related assigned responsibilities as needed including 1:1 assistanceEMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:Participation in a mentoring/ training sessions across SCEC programsOpportunities for job mobility: on-going career counseling; training opportunities; degree/licensure programs; other professional development opportunitiesPost job offer physical examSouth Coast Educational Collaborative encourages diverse applicants to : $59360 to $103491 per SCEC Union Contract Salary Scale
