Are you looking for an exciting new practice opportunity The Open Home Foundation is currently seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join a national team. The successful applicant will be covering the Wellington region. There is no after hours or weekend work involved in this role. The focus of this position is to advise and support caregivers as they create permanent homes for the children and young people in their care. This is a rewarding and satisfying role for someone who is skilled in; advocacy advising relationship building and who relishes self-managing roles whilst still being part of a wider team.
If you are someone who enjoys journeying with people and have a passion to see families and children well-supported then this may well be the position for you.
The successful applicant will have the following:
- A Social Workers Registration Board recognised Social Work Qualification
- Knowledge and experience in Care and Protection Social Work
- Good knowledge of The Oranga Tamariki Act 1989 and its Family Court processes.
- An in-depth understanding of how the role recognises the special relationship between Māori and Tauiwi and strong empathy with the organisations special character.
The fulltime salary for this position is between$68038 and $102000 p.a. Kindly note the salary is based on experience.
