- Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM CPT and HCPCS coding
- Strong Evaluation & Management (E/M) inpatient and outpatient coding

- Excellent analytical problem-solving and attention to detail
- Ability to manage confidential information and maintain HIPAA compliance

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Review and accurately code professional fee services for office inpatient outpatient and surgical procedures
- Abstract medical records to identify and capture all billable charges
- Perform Epic charge entry charge review and missing charge analysis
- Work claim denials and analyze denial trends to improve reimbursement
- Communicate coding updates and education to providers and clinical partners
- Collaborate with Coding Compliance Manager to identify trends irregularities and improvement actions
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required
- 3 years of medical coding experience in a hospital or physician practice
- 1 year specialty coding experience (Oncology GI OBGYN Surgery Pulmonology or related specialty)
- Expert proficiency in ICD-10-CM CPT and HCPCS
- Epic and Microsoft Office proficiency
