Job Description: The Hospitalist Physician will:
- Provide direct medical care for hospitalized patients including admissions daily rounding and discharges
- Evaluate diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Deliver evidence-based patient-centered care
- Collaborate closely with specialists primary care providers nurses respiratory therapists CRNAs Emergency Medicine physicians and ancillary services
- Coordinate patient care plans and ensure smooth transitions of care
- Order interpret and act on laboratory tests imaging and diagnostic studies
- Document all patient encounters care plans and outcomes thoroughly and timely in the EMR
- Respond to medical emergencies including codes and rapid response situations
- Provide ventilator management
- Participate in clinical rounds and interdisciplinary meetings
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses treatment plans and follow-up care
- Participate in hospital committees quality improvement initiatives and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies regulatory standards and medical ethics
- No procedures required
- Work with specialty backup including surgeons (for central lines) respiratory therapy EM physicians and CRNAs
- Not open to candidates who commute more than 1 hour
- Accepting J1 Visa only
