Job Summary

Job Title: Logistics Analyst II

Duration: 04 Months Contract to Start

Location: Radford VA 24143

Citizenship Requirement: US Citizens and Perm Residents

Pay: $39.25/hr. on W2

Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Roles & Responsibilities:

Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests invoices or orders to verify accuracy.
Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
Prepare documents such as work orders bills of lading or shipping orders to route materials.
Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems such as damages defects shortages or nonconformance to specifications.
Record shipment data such as weight charges space availability damages or discrepancies for reporting accounting or recordkeeping purposes.
Prepares shipments for conveyance; determines most economical and efficient shipping method; selects appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery.
Checks items to be shipped against request to ascertain that quantities destination and routing are correct.
Maintain department database prepare routine reports and file shipping/receiving records.
Follows established departmental policies procedures and objectives continuous improvement objectives and safety and environmental standards.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Ability to support a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
Ability to develop and implement organizational changes as required to meet a changing environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proficient use of MS Office tools (Excel PowerPoint Outlook Word)
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelors Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Preferred Skills:

GOCO (Government owned contractor operated) experience -Supply Chain experience
Bachelors Degree in business related field
Experience with MMAS compliance.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools.
Basic knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations policies and procedures
