Job Summary
Job Title: Locum Physician - Surgery - Orthopedic
Summary
Join a dedicated team at a small rural community hospital located in Red Bluff California which features a Level 3 trauma center. This facility is looking for a skilled Orthopedic Surgeon to provide 24/7 coverage of the Emergency Department and inpatient consultations. Job Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 coverage for the Emergency Department and inpatient consultations.
- Deliver full general orthopedic coverage managing higher-level patients as needed.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with support staff in the OR to ensure optimal patient care.
- Respond to on-call requests promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery (REQUIRED).
- Active State License (REQUIRED).
- Completion of an ACGME or AOA approved residency (exceptions may apply but actively working in the field is required).
- DEA certification required during credentialing process.
- CA fluoroscopy certificate needed by the dates of coverage.
- Clean malpractice history is highly preferred.
- Availability at the time of name clear (REQUIRED).
- A Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (REQUIRED).
License and Certification Requirements
- State Medical License.
- Board Certification or Eligibility.
- CA fluoroscopy certificate.
- A Self-Query NPDB report.
