Job Summary: The Human Resources Assistant will support the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department with a focus on recruiting (posting & screening) and administrative tasks while supporting compliance with company policies and practices. Act as the liaison between HR and employees ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for job postings conducts phone screens and works with managers for interview scheduling.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Conducts or acquires (initiates) background checks MVRs references and employee eligibility verifications.
Handles logistical support of onboarding and New Employee Orientations.
Assists with special hiring projects and job fairs.
May support routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs that include compensation benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Maintains human resources records by filing materials and recording changes in a precise and timely manner.
Maintains knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers handle or feel objects tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Occasional driving required completing office errands and supporting the nutrition program.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Part Time non-exempt 29 hours per week.
30-minute lunch break.
Work hours are flexible 7am-5pm M-F

Pay Range: $23.00-$26.00/hr

Minimum Qualifications of Position
Minimum of two (2) years office and administrative experience.
Valid Colorado drivers license and proof of insurance. Provide and maintain a reliable mode of transportation for all scheduled shifts and can drive safely in all types of inclement weather.
This position requires a National Sex Offender Public Website check
criminal background check motor vehicle record check and Colorado Adult Protective Services check. Offers of employment are contingent upon the results of these checks.

Experience with computer and office equipment database systems Microsoft suite applications including PowerPoint Excel and Word.
