Job Summary
Build Your Public Sector Finance Career on the Ground.
A respected consulting environment operating within the public sector is looking to appoint an Accountant to support municipal and government-focused projects. This role is ideal for a technically sound Accountant who enjoys working close to delivery compliance and real-world implementation.
You will be deployed onto public sector projects supporting financial management reporting and compliance within municipalities and government entities.

You will be deployed onto public sector projects supporting financial management reporting and compliance within municipalities and government entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial reporting and reconciliations within a public sector environment
- Application of GRAP standards and PFMA requirements
- Supporting municipal finance functions and compliance deliverables
- Assisting with audits reporting packs and statutory submissions
- Working closely with project teams and stakeholders on-site
Experience & Qualifications:
- Completed Accounting degree
- Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles
- Registered or eligible to register with a professional accounting body
- 35 years accounting experience
- Solid exposure to GRAP PFMA municipal or government finance
- Willingness to travel as required by project work
