About the Opportunity

Playing a pivotal role within the People and Wellbeing Safety Team this role will see you shaping a people-focused safety and wellbeing system that empowers staff and students to thrive. Leading the design and continuous improvement of the Universitys Work Health and Safety Management System you will embed a Safety-II approach that ensures as many things as possible go right. Working across diverse campuses and environments you will influences cultural change develop lean and accessible processes and deliver training that enhances user experience. Operating with a high level of independence this role will see you partnering with leaders to drive strategic safety initiatives balancing compliance with innovation. Whats Required

  • Proven ability to design and implement user-focused systems and/or processes in complex organisational environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills to drive behavioural change in safety culture.
  • Experience developing and delivering clear practical resources and training packages for diverse audiences.
  • Advanced project management skills with capacity to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of WHS legislation standards and best practice methodologies.

Qualifications and Licenses

  • Relevantor related tertiary qualificationand/or an equivalentcombination of relevantexperienceand education/traininginlarge or complexorganisations.
  • Current drivers licence.
  • Ability to travel intrastate/interstate and work in remote locations as required.

Whats on Offer

This is a unique opportunity offered at 0.5 FTE for 9 months with a high level of flexibility on the structure of the hours of work between 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday inclusive. The salary for the role is pro-rata accordingly and offered at the HEO Level 8
