Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of the general ledger.
- Prepare and assist in the month end close process for reporting including journal entries and allocations variance analysis balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Coordinating or assisting with the budget process
- Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Analyzing and reporting cost variances.
- Serving as a liaison to external auditors.
- Supports the Controller and communicates as a business partner/liaison for the Company to prepare accounting activities financial reports and analysis.
- Manage the intercompany invoicing and reconciliation process.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements.
- Review and analyze standard variance reporting investigate discrepancies and recommend necessary corrective actions.
- Review product warranty expenses and determine appropriate monthly provision.
- Provide internal departments with requested information by defining and developing ad-hoc reporting analyzing data and provide recommendation based on analysis.
- Assist in the monthly closing activities by inputting appropriate journal entries reconciliation of assigned accounts and recommending corrective actions.
- Complete special projects as needed.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelors degree
Licensure: CPA
Experience:
- 5 years accounting experience with a minimum of 1-2 years in supervisory capacity
- Operational knowledge of GAAP & SOX requirements
- Excellent communication skills driving results while fostering team cohesion
Preferred Requirements:
