Overview
Our client a growing multi entity organization is seeking a General Accountant Supervisor to support corporate accounting operations and strengthen the accuracy integrity and efficiency of the financial reporting function. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment enjoys improving processes and can balance hands on work with mentoring responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee general accounting activities for assigned business units or corporate functions.
- Prepare maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Produce accurate financial statements including balance sheets profit and loss statements and capital expenditure schedules.
- Record analyze and report accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP.
- Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
- Prepare statutory reports and assist with audit related documentation.
- Identify process gaps and participate in accounting projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure internal controls are followed and documented.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve accounting issues and provide financial insights.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to team development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
- Experience preparing financial statements and performing month end close activities.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Effective communication and relationship building skills.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members is preferred.
