The Experienced Floor Tech is responsible for performing advanced floor care duties including stripping waxing buffing refinishing and maintaining a wide variety of floor surfaces. This role requires mastery of floorcare equipment strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced floor maintenance including stripping sealing waxing buffing burnishing and deep scrubbing of hard-surface floors.
- Operate troubleshoot and maintain professional-grade equipment (autoscrubbers highspeed burnishers orbital machines extractors wet vacuums).
- Deep clean extract and maintain carpeted areas including stain treatment and spot removal.
- Assess floor conditions and determine appropriate cleaning methods chemicals and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to equipment use chemical handling and facility guidelines.
- Train or guide junior floor techs as needed.
- Report facility issues such as floor damage safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and supply inventory.
Heavy Physical Requirements
- Lift push pull and carry 5075 lbs regularly (floor machines water-filled equipment chemical containers).
- Continuous standing and walking for 810 hours per shift.
- Frequent bending kneeling crouching twisting and reaching throughout the workday.
- Ability to maneuver heavy or vibrating equipment for extended periods.
- Must safely push/pull floor machines weighing up to 100 lbs when in motion.
- Ability to work on wet or slippery surfaces and maintain balance and control of machines.
- Capable of transporting equipment between areas occasionally across long distances or uneven surfaces.
- Tolerance for chemical odors cleaning agents noise and varying temperature conditions.
- Must have adequate mobility dexterity and stamina to perform repetitive motions for long durations.
Qualifications
- Professional floor care experience required.
- Indepth knowledge of floor care chemicals finishes and equipment.
- Experience with various flooring types: VCT LVT terrazzo marble concrete laminate and carpet.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and proper chemical dilution.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and reliable work ethic.
- Flexible availability (may include nights weekends or rotating schedules).
Work Environment
- Commercial healthcare educational industrial or hospitality settings.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals dust noise wet floors and fluctuating temperatures.
- May require work during offhours to avoid hightraffic periods.
