Summary:
We are seeking a Linux Administrator to ensure the stability performance and security of our enterprise Linux servers and applications. The ideal candidate will manage multi-server environments automate routine tasks and proactively monitor systems to prevent downtime. This role requires hands-on expertise in Linux/Unix administration system troubleshooting and cloud infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain Linux servers services and applications.
- Monitor server performance system logs and security alerts to ensure optimal uptime.
- Implement system patches updates and security configurations to protect servers and data.
- Automate repetitive tasks using shell scripting and configuration management tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server storage network and application issues.
- Manage user accounts permissions and security policies.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning backup management and high availability solutions.
- Collaborate with development networking and cloud teams for system integration and deployment.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations procedures and changes.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging Linux technologies tools and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in IT Computer Science or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on Linux administration experience.
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix systems shell scripting and system monitoring tools.
- Experience with troubleshooting server storage and network issues.
- Familiarity with system security best practices and access control.
Preferred Skills / Duties:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
- Knowledge of automation and configuration management tools like Ansible Puppet or Chef.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware KVM or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios Zabbix Prometheus) and log management.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
