Summary:
We are seeking a Linux Administrator to ensure the stability performance and security of our enterprise Linux servers and applications. The ideal candidate will manage multi-server environments automate routine tasks and proactively monitor systems to prevent downtime. This role requires hands-on expertise in Linux/Unix administration system troubleshooting and cloud infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install configure and maintain Linux servers services and applications.
  • Monitor server performance system logs and security alerts to ensure optimal uptime.
  • Implement system patches updates and security configurations to protect servers and data.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using shell scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server storage network and application issues.
  • Manage user accounts permissions and security policies.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning backup management and high availability solutions.
  • Collaborate with development networking and cloud teams for system integration and deployment.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations procedures and changes.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging Linux technologies tools and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in IT Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on Linux administration experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix systems shell scripting and system monitoring tools.
  • Experience with troubleshooting server storage and network issues.
  • Familiarity with system security best practices and access control.

Preferred Skills / Duties:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
  • Knowledge of automation and configuration management tools like Ansible Puppet or Chef.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware KVM or Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios Zabbix Prometheus) and log management.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
