Caregiver (part time), Thornton

Senior Helpers a leader in providing in-home senior care services is seeking a dedicated & compassionate Part-time Caregiver for two clients in Thornton & surrounding areas. This role requires hands-on personal care for both male and female clients including bathroom and shower assistance. This position will primarily assist clients with their personal care needs and provide companionship to improve their overall quality of life.

This is a part-time position and the individual in this role will work directly with clients in their homes.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a PART-TIME hourly position with a competitive pay rate starting at $25.00 per hour based on experience. Pay will be distributed addition employees will have access to benefits such as health insurance paid time off and ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

- Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing grooming toileting and dressing.

-MUST be comfortable providing personal cares for both male and Female clients

- Help remind clients to take prescribed medication according to their physicians instructions.
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations and activities with clients
- Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks (taking out the trash dishes laundry sweeping/vacuuming.
- Assisting the client with transfers ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor appointments walks etc.)

- Monitor and report any changes in clients health or behavior to the caregiver supervisor
- Follow all health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Attend ongoing training/development programs to enhance caregiving skills

-Must be comfortable providing personal care (including toileting and bathing) to clients of all genders.

Requirements:

- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license
- Ability to pass a background check
- Basic knowledge of personal care and homemaking tasks
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development programs
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and bend stoop and stand for long periods of time
