Job Summary
Product Master Data Analyst
The Product Master Data Analyst will be a key member of Stanley Black & Deckers Tools and Outdoor Division with a focus on the collection cleansing standardization and maintenance of product-related data.
Responsible for Data governance and ownership maintaining high quality and consistency across global data sets.
Responsibilities:
- Support data quality by reviewing sanitizing and standardizing incoming data sets in preparation for adding them into the global master data set.
- Partner with business subject matter experts to understand required data formats conventions and structures to accurately define products.
- Act as data owner serving as a gatekeeper of the master data set by proactively anticipating and mitigating quality or inconsistency issues.
- Engage with the larger team and provide regular updates on data ingestion efforts.
- Advise on new data intake requirements to meet stakeholder needs within the data domain.
- Ensure data completeness by partnering with business team members to fill in missing attributes and details of records.
- Collaborate with IT to identify data architecture and technology gaps and provide solutions for process improvement.
- Ensure project outputs are consistently high-quality deliverables delivered on time and accurately.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Business Finance Data Science Marketing or similar field.
- 2 years of experience in Data Analytics IT Business Systems Development Product Management and/or related field.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experienced in MS Office Suite.
- Comfortable with large datasets as well as strong SQL experience to perform queries for extraction and complex analysis
- Experience using ETL tools including Alteryx for data preparation blending and analysis.
- Past experience in data governance cleansing and enrichment
- Understanding of ERP systems including SAP and Product Planning systems including JDA or Blue Yonder is a plus.
- Understanding of Project Management Software including Jira MS Project and/or
- Prior work history in manufacturing or consumer goods is preferred
