Social Club - Specialised Carer

The Opportunity

Hammond Cares Social clubs provide a social environment where Older people can take a break from their home environment connect with their Community and spend a day socialising while being supported by our talented team of Specialised Carers.

Responsibilities

This opportunity delivers care within our Wattlebird Social Cottage in Manly.
Available shifts Monday to Friday - between 7am to 3pm.
Our Specialised Carers provide care in the Social Club that offer socialisation and supervision according to each clients care plan
The Cottage provides organised activities and events for Clients to enjoy including social outings and excursions for People living with dementia
In some cases youll have an opportunity to go offsite and provide care and supervision for our Clients and this would mean having the capacity to drive a 12-Seater Bus

Hourly Rates: $33.78 to $36.50- P/H penalties

What do you need to apply

No formal qualification is necessary however Certificate III Individual Support is an advantage
First Aid certificate desirable
Working With Children Check
Empathy and compassion are a must
We provide job training as long as you have the willingness and desire to learn
Good administrative and computer skills including the use of a smartphone
A strong team player who can communicate professionally changes in care complete all documentation whilst maintaining confidentiality.
Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
