This Mechanic II position is located at Roanoke River Correctional Institution in Halifax County NC.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $37782 - $66120

About The Division of Correction Enterprises:
Correction Enterprises is a self-sustaining division of the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction that operates more than 30 prison-based businesses. The program provides practical job training and skill development for incarcerated individuals preparing them for reentry and employment. Products and services are offered to government agencies educational institutions and nonprofit organizations.

Minimum Education and Experience
Some state job postings say you can qualify by an equivalent combination of education and experience. High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two (2) years of experience in the area of assignment or a sufficient year-for- year combination of education and experience in the repair work to which assigned; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Special Qualifications May require current certification by the EPA as a Type I II III or Universal technician as required by 40 CFR part 82 subpart F.
