Job Summary
Overview:
Maintains repairs and overhauls farm equipment and vehicles such as tractors forklifts brush shredders spray equipment wind machines and other mechanically electrically or motor driven equipment on farms and in farm shops. Examines equipment for defects and dismantles defective equipment using hand tools. Repairs or replaces defective units using hand and power tools.
Heres what youll do:
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner. Maintains shop and equipment in good safe efficient conditions with special care to critical equipment.
- Ensures that all farm machinery is serviced and maintained on a routine schedule and kept in good operational order.
- Inspects tests adjusts and repairs as needed all equipment and rolling stock on a regular basis as required by management.
- Maintains service and repair records.
- Keeps shop Supervisor informed of equipment conditions upcoming maintenance schedules and other pertinent equipment information.
Pay Range: $22.50 - $23.25 per hour. Final Compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
Qualifications :
Heres what youll bring to the table:
- 1-3 years maintenance experience in repairing farm equipment.
- Strong equipment/process troubleshooting skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Must have experience in working on all types of engine driven wind machines.
- Knowledge of basic math.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) desired.
- Must be able to lift fifty pounds bending or stooping.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
