How You Will Make an Impact: As a Technical Sales Specialist you will drive sales and provide support for Thermo Fisher Scientific Life Science Solutions Groups Protein & Cell Analysis Flow Cytometry Reagent products. You will engage with academic government and industrial accounts within your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the Bioscience Divisions goals focusing on flow cytometry reagents.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to promote our products to academic biotechnology and pharmaceutical customers.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across various functions and levels within client accounts.
  • Achieve or exceed sales quotas and objectives ensuring profitability and 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Technical and Customer Support teams.
  • Conduct technical seminars related to the product portfolio.
  • Understand assigned products and applications as well as competitor products features and benefits.
  • Contribute to the North America commercial team by sharing leads developing opportunities and improving account penetration.
  • Train and support commercial representatives to maintain and grow key accounts.
  • Manage sales processes including forecasting pipeline management and sales tracking using CRM and other IT tools.
  • Attend and support local trade shows and conferences.
  • Travel requirements of 50% within assigned territory

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Biology Immunology or a related field. . or Ph.D. preferred.
  • 5 plus years of related work experience
  • Hands-on experience in a research laboratory setting using flow cytometry is required
  • Previous sales experience selling consumable reagents or flow cytometry-related equipment in the RUO market is preferred
  • Awareness of the life science marketplace particularly the flow cytometry market trends and competitors.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and implement in advance.
  • Team-oriented with effective communication and presentation skills.
