Recruitment Range- $92184-$150000

• Current knowledge of animal diseases and husbandry is required.
• Proficiency in conducting molecular diagnostic tests including next generation sequencing techniques and identifying diseases assessing results and interpreting findings.
• Sound knowledge of zoonoses and reportable/notifiable diseases.
• Ability to read comprehend and apply various Federal and State regulations pertaining to livestock and poultry.
• Ability to manage and supervise personnel.

Minimum Education and Experience

Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the State of North Carolina and advanced training in veterinary virology and board certified by the American College of Veterinary Bacteriology or board eligible and 2 years of veterinary diagnostic laboratory experience.
