The Senior Safety Professional supporting Construction Safety Management position serves as a key technical resource for project construction safety for Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) project(s).

This is a temporary Project Hire role until October 2028

The Senior Safety Professional will report to a Senior Manager Worldwide Safety.

What You Will Do

On any given day as a Senior Safety Professional you might:

• Partner with contractors to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards and practices including trenching scaffolding fall protection electrical cranes heavy equipment etc.
• Investigate and propose innovative and practical safety solutions to while ensuring risk mitigation/minimization and safety/regulatory compliance.
• Articulate to project leadership and contractors applicable standards regulations data (lagging and leading) emerging technologies best practices and risk reduction techniques.
• Provide construction safety risk and safety input during all phases of projects.
• Effectively communicate identified trends significant near misses and incidents with project and safety leadership.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Heres what you need to be successful at this job:

• 5 years of construction safety industrial safety and health experience safety engineering or related.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory and industry standards and best practices as well as internal company standards and business practices.
• Self-driven and resourceful professional with the ability to solve problems outside areas of expertise.
• Experience in safety of multi-trade construction activities and construction safety industry/regulatory standards.
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to operate within an ambiguous and changing environment.
• Proven strong planning organization and prioritization skills.
• Excellent written verbal and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse difficult situations.
• Demonstrated strong consultative and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

It would be great if you also have:

• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation.
• OSHA 500 trainer.

Required Education :

Bachelor degree

Preferred Education :

• Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety Safety Engineering Construction Safety Engineering Architecture or related.
• Advanced degree in Occupational Safety Safety Engineering Construction Safety Engineering Architecture or related.
