Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Senior Manager to lead mid- to high-complexity construction projects involving Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) and conventional steel framing systems. This role is ideal for a Construction Project Manager or Construction Manager with strong experience in structural steel and construction products.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales and Technical Sales Support teams to evaluate potential construction projects and assist with presentations and proposals.

  • Verify pre-contract activities to ensure project clarity and establish effective project management plans.

  • Develop project action plans that ensure construction schedules budgets and deliverables are met.

  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure project objectives are achieved.

  • Review construction drawings specifications contracts and project documents to understand project scope and requirements.

  • Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding construction schedules submittals drawings and project progress.

  • Lead project meetings with internal teams vendors suppliers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage all construction project financials including budgeting cash flow tracking schedule of values payment milestones invoicing change orders and back charges as well as project reporting and final closeout reconciliation.

  • Monitor financial performance to maintain or improve construction project margins.

  • Coordinate fabrication production schedules to support construction project timelines.

  • Work closely with vendors suppliers logistics providers and factory partners to ensure material availability and project delivery.

  • Manage purchase orders and work orders with external vendors and supply chain partners.

  • Resolve issues such as material shortages installation challenges or delivery delays impacting construction operations.

  • Enforce company construction project management processes procedures and systems.

  • Quickly address project challenges to maintain schedule performance and budget goals.

  • Promote collaboration across project teams to ensure successful project completion.


Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3 years of experience as a Project Manager Construction Project Manager or Construction Manager in the construction industry.

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Architecture Engineering Construction Management or a related technical field or equivalent experience.

  • Strong understanding of Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) and conventional steel framing systems used in construction projects.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% as required for project oversight.

  • Fluency in Spanish to support the Caribbean market.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings blueprints and project specifications.

  • Strong understanding of construction project financials including job costing cash flow and margins.

  • Highly organized with strong multi-tasking and project coordination skills.

  • Experience managing teams vendors and suppliers within the construction supply chain.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical construction concepts clearly.

  • Experience with the following tools is highly valued:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel)

  • CRM and project management software

  • BIM or modeling tools (SketchUp BIMSight or similar)

  • Adobe Acrobat Bluebeam or comparable construction document software
