Job Summary

Who We Are Looking For

TheGISDevelopmentInternwill be part of the ClearwayDevelopmentTeamand will report totheGISSeniorManager.TheDevelopmentTeamisresponsible forthedevelopment andexecution into constructionof Clearway Energy Groups10GW solar windand storage project pipeline. The team works closely with the Origination Engineering Project Finance and Construction teams across the full project lifecycle from origination to commissioning and all associated activitiesto bring projects to successful commercial operation.

This position is part of the 10-week Summer Internship Program at Clearway Energy Group beginning on June 1 2026.

We are looking for current juniors or rising seniors pursuing abachelors degree inGISEngineering Environmental ScienceComputerScienceor related field.

Throughout this summer internship programyoullget exposure to real projects and challenges while gaining first-hand professional experience. At Clearwayyoullgain access to an innovative and fast-paced work networking and learning events with your fellow intern cohort.

What Youll Be Doing

TheGISDevelopmentInternprimary responsibilities will include:

Support in preparing data forimport intoourland management software.

  • Support in digitizing lease boundaries using PLSS land descriptions.
  • Gatheranalyze and integrate spatial data from internal teams anddeterminehow best to present this information using GIS software.
  • Develop maps in ArcGIS Desktop for use in ArcGIS Online and printedformats.
  • Learnabout the development milestones of complex large-scale renewable energy projects frominitialproject proposal and siting through to permitting design interconnection approval contracting financing and handover to construction.
  • Support the development ofalternative project development approaches that reduce exposure topermittingrisksoptimizedevelopmentschedulesor createadditionalproject value.
  • Supportdevelopmentof userinterfacefor use by permitting and environmental teams in ArcGIS Online.

TheGIS DevelopmentIntern will be assigned to an individual project and will present results to the team and leadership at the end of the internship on August 4th.

What Youll Bring

Core KnowledgeandSkills

  • Experience increating maps using ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro).
  • Exposure toor interest in learning the ArcGIS Online web platform.
  • Interest and fundamental knowledge of the renewable energy industry andUSelectricityinfrastructure.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite specifically Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment that emphasizes attention to detail meeting deadlines and working together to achieve company-wideobjectives.
  • Intellectual curiosity and an interest in renewable because you believeinand want to help create a clean energy future.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.Yourewilling to ask lots of questions listen to your colleagues and contribute your ideas.

What Would Be Nice

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to the energy industry including the project development lifecycle.
  • Exposure to project schedules and project budgets.
  • Knowledge of various sources of publicly-available spatial data that may contribute to analyzing prospective renewable sites.
  • Some knowledge of governmental mandates environmental regulations or customer/market signals that impact or facilitate new development of renewable projects in major markets (CAISO WECC ERCOT MISO SPP PJM NYISO ISO-NE).

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location skills relevant and demonstrated experience education training and certifications and other factors permitted by law. This role is not eligible to earn an annual cash bonus subject to personal and company performance goals.
