Job Summary

Summary

This internship offers hands-on exposure to US public policy and advocacy helping to shape policy outcomes that help our business to thrive. Youll contribute to legislative tracking stakeholder engagement and briefing materials that inform senior leadership decisions. Youll also support a cross-functional geopolitical task force helping assess policy risks and opportunities across return youll gain real-world experience mentorship and a clear understanding of how government relations drives impact.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor federal and state legislative/regulatory developments; draft concise summaries and alerts.

  • Support policy research and analysis; develop briefing notes talking points and stakeholder maps.

  • Assist with coalition outreach meetings and event preparation; capture actions and follow-ups.

  • Contribute to the geopolitical task force: synthesize policy trends prepare risk/opportunity memos and coordinate cross-functional inputs.

  • Support internal communications and leadership updates including with the JHPAC.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelors or graduate degree in public policy political science international relations economics law or related field.

  • 01 years of experience in policy research legislative tracking or public affairs (coursework/internships acceptable).

  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to synthesize complex information into clear actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to financial services or insurance policy topics (e.g. retirement healthcare regulation).

  • Basic understanding of geopolitical risk analysis and its intersection with policy.

  • Comfort with AI tools including Microsoft Office 365.

  • Prior internship or campus leadership in government relations public affairs or think tank/policy research.
