Your opportunity

Reporting to and working under the guidance of the Business Development Group Lead you will help turn that belief into funded tangible outcomes.

You will find opportunities across social affordable and supportive housing make sense of government procurement pathways and allocations and write clear compliant tenders and grants. You will translate housing operating details rent setting and Commonwealth Rent Assistance (CRA) headleases and property management vacancy (void) and arrears assumptions and planned maintenance/lifecycle costs into proposals that are practical viable and easy to understand.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to coordinate inputs timelines and approvals.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Read and interpret tender requirements and addenda; guide teams to meet funder specifications.
• Write highquality tenders grants and proposals aligned to funder objectives and Mission Australias style guide.
• Research demographics evidence and market trends (including government agendas) to inform service design and bid strategy.
• Coordinate inputs from subject matter experts and work with Practice Evidence & Impact and Service Delivery teams to articulate service models.
• Manage project plans timelines and reviews; submit all content on time and to a high standard.
• Ensure submissions follow organisational approval processes (e.g. Opportunity Assessment) and capture/share feedback on all outcomes.
• Maintain systems trackers and content libraries (CRM Word Excel PowerPoint Teams SharePoint) with accurate timely data.
• Build strong relationships with Housing Community Services Finance Legal and other stakeholders to secure wellsupported bids.

Requirements for success

• Minimum 2 years experience in grant/tender writing business development or a similar field.
• Strong understanding of the community housing/community services sector including government funding practices.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills for tenders proposals reports and pitch documents.
• Clear confident communication and active listening; able to present information and decisions concisely.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (Teams SharePoint); familiarity with CRM systems.
• Demonstrated ability in project coordination research (qualitative and quantitative) data analysis and reporting.
• High accuracy and attention to detail; proven track record of meeting deadlines.
• Operates with initiative and minimal supervision while following guidelines and direction.
• Builds constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders; strong stakeholder engagement skills.
