Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director of Plumbing & Fire Fighting Design Engineering to join our team in Gurgaon this leadership role you will oversee the design and implementation of plumbing and fire protection systems for various projects ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Lead and manage a team of design engineers providing technical guidance and mentorship
- Develop and review plumbing and fire fighting system designs for commercial residential and industrial projects
- Ensure all designs meet local and international building codes and standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects structural engineers and project managers
- Oversee project budgets timelines and resource allocation
- Conduct quality assurance checks on design deliverables
- Implement innovative design solutions to improve efficiency and sustainability
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project requirements and progress
- Stay updated on industry trends new technologies and best practices in plumbing and fire protection engineering
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including clients contractors and regulatory bodies
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred
- 18 years of experience in plumbing and fire fighting design engineering with a proven track record of successful project delivery
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems including water supply drainage fire suppression and alarm systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and other relevant design software
- In-depth understanding of local and international building codes and standards
- Excellent project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- LEED Accredited Professional (AP) certification is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits or client meetings.
