Job Summary

B. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive preoperative evaluations to assess patient medical history physical condition and anesthesia risks.
  • Review laboratory results imaging studies and other diagnostic information to determine appropriate anesthesia plans.
  • Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements.
  • Administer various forms of anesthesia including general regional and local anesthesia.
  • Continuously monitor patients vital signs and anesthesia depth during procedures.
  • Manage airway and respiratory support as necessary throughout the surgical process.
  • Provide care in the post-anesthesia recovery unit monitoring patients recovery.
  • Provide oversight of non-physician Anesthesia staff as required
  • Assess and manage any immediate postoperative complications or side effects related to anesthesia.
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons anesthesiologists and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Completes required organizational compliance education including assigned requirements that are client-specified for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.


Qualifications :

Basic Requirements/Certifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
  • Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Current DEA certificate.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • May require bending stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.

Other Special Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to relocate to project site for the duration of the contract.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance.

Additional Information :

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
