Description
This contract position offers an opportunity to work on-site providing critical support in anesthesiology within a reputable medical practice.
As a Locum AA you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality anesthesia care collaborating with anesthesiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Assist anesthesiologists in the administration of anesthesia during surgical procedures
- Monitor patients vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as required
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of anesthesia equipment
- Participate in pre-operative assessments and post-anesthesia care
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Educate patients and their families on anesthesia-related procedures
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in anesthesia care
Requirements
- Associates degree in Anesthesia Technology or a related field
- Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA) or equivalent
- Strong clinical skills and understanding of anesthesia principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Experience in a surgical setting preferred
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-3p
Patient Volume: 8-10 per day
Case Types: Hearts (no CABG) neuro electrophysiology DDC healthy pediatrics and vascular
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
