Position Overview
PraescientAnalytics is seeking anExpert Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Administratorto support mission-critical intelligence operations. This role requires deep technical expertise in enterprise-level GIS infrastructuregeospatialdata management and intelligence systems architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting intelligence organizations and working with both open-source and commercial GIS technologies in secure environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Performadvanced planning development implementation and maintenanceof enterprise-level GIS environments includinggeospatialdatabases network equipment and GIS software applications.
- Administer and deployenterprise-level open-source and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) GIS server technologiesin direct support of intelligence organizations.
- Design evaluate and supporthigh/expert-level intelligence systems architecture ensuring scalability performance and mission alignment.
- Manage analyze and exploitgeospatiallyoriented data ensuring effective integration and use across multiple systems.
- Support the discovery analysis and exploitation ofgeospatialdata withinOpen Geospatial Consortium (OGC)-compliant applications and databases.
- Develop and maintaincustom scripts and automation tools primarily usingPython with working knowledge ofC# and Java.
- Manage and work with bothstatic and dynamic streaminggeospatialdatain enterprise and intelligence environments.
- Collaborate with technical and operational stakeholders providing clear and effectiveoral and written communication.
- Ensure compliance with applicable DoD IC and security requirements including maintaining required certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Minimum of8 years of progressive experienceadministering GIS servers in enterprise or intelligence environments.
- Expert-level proficiency inGIS server administration and deployment including both open-source and COTS solutions.
- Advanced experience withgeospatialdatabases data exploitation andOGC-complianttools and applications.
- Strong scripting and automation skills usingPython with knowledge ofC# and Java.
- Demonstrated expertise inintelligence systems architecture design and evaluation.
- High-level ability to manage and processstatic and streaminggeospatialdata.
- Strongwritten and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications in accordance withDoDD 8570.01.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors degreein a related field.
- 10 years of general experiencein one or more of the following areas:
- Targeting
- Intelligence systems architecture
- Geospatialsystems and technologies
- Prior experience supportingDoD or Intelligence Community (IC)missions.
