About the role:

As a member of the Aged Care Leadership Team the Director of Nursing- Aged Care Services- Coleraine will provide leadership and direction to the Aged Care Services Coleraine Health Services under the direction of the Executive Director Aged Care

The Director of Nursing- Aged Care Services - Coleraine as a senior member of the Aged Care Leadership is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the Aged Care Services - Coleraine to ensure a high standard of care and efficient use of resources for all residents and clients of the Health Service.

About you:

• Skills and experience in the management of staff
• Current registration with AHPRA ideal but not essential
• Ideally minimum of 5 years post-graduate nursing experience and demonstrated management skills
• Experience in working in aged care not essential but an advantage
• Knowledge of the new Aged Care Act and associated legislation inclusive of the Aged Care Quality Standards National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and related accreditation processes
• Demonstrate respect for individuals values customs and spiritual beliefs to ensure patient/resident care is effective and culturally appropriate.
• Demonstrate commitment to person-centred care and evidence-based best practice standards within scope of practice.
• Demonstrate willingness to commit to the mission and values of WDHS.
